Why I Started Our Journey Travel

If someone had told me years ago that I’d start my own travel agency, blog, and Instagram account dedicated to helping families explore the world — I probably would’ve smiled and said, “That would be the dream.”

And now here we are. Welcome to On Our Journey Travel. I'm so glad you're here.

A Passion Rooted in Childhood

My love for travel started when I was a child. It wasn’t just about the excitement of airplanes or vacations — it was about the stories, the history, the feeling of standing in a place I had once only seen in books. I’ve always been drawn to the richness of other cultures and the way travel helps you understand the world beyond your own.

From Designated Family Planner to Travel Professional

I’ve been the go-to trip planner in my family for years. Whether it’s cousins, in-laws, or friends — if someone needed help planning a trip, I was the one they called. I loved it. That’s when it clicked:
What if I could do what I love and help others — and actually turn it into a business?

So I took the leap. I started On Our Journey Travel not just as a job, but as a calling. A way to share what I love and make it easier for others to experience it too.

Not Just Beaches — But Something Deeper

Travel, for me, has never been just a vacation. It’s always been something deeper — the awe of standing in a centuries-old cathedral, walking the same steps ancient people did, or sitting in a plaza and watching daily life unfold in a different rhythm.

One of the most defining moments for me was standing inside the Colosseum in Rome at 19 years old. That moment — that rush of this is real, this is bigger than I imagined — changed everything. I knew then that I wanted to keep chasing those moments and help others experience them too.

Our Family Adventure

When I married my husband, I dragged him into all my travel dreams. Now, he’s become a road trip lover in his own right — especially the hidden gems far off the tourist path. We both love discovering the forgotten corners of the U.S., and now with our baby boy, it’s a whole new journey.

Is it harder to travel with a baby? Absolutely.
But it’s also more rewarding than I ever imagined.
I always say: If I’m going to be changing diapers anyway, I might as well be doing it in a plaza in Europe. 😄

And honestly, you’d be surprised how baby-friendly so many places (especially in Europe!) really are.

Why I Do This

I created On Our Journey Travel to show families — especially those with little ones — that travel is still possible, and even more meaningful when shared. I want to be the reason someone chooses to go instead of staying home. To show that you don’t have to leave anyone behind, not even the baby.

Whether it’s through my travel agency, this blog, or on Instagram — my goal is to inspire, support, and help families plan their own unforgettable journeys.

Thank you for being here. I can’t wait to share more of our story and help you start yours.
